Yarn of the Month - 15% off!

November is Manly Yarn Month!  Want to make something for that special guy in your life, but worried about whether or not he'll like the yarn?  Try Universal Yarns Ditto for socks - a self-striping superwash/nylon blend in red/black or green/black.   Berroco Keltic and Linie 245 Fiamato are great self-striping choices in a worsted weight for hats.  We have several tweed yarns for larger or smaller projects - Berroco Blackstone Tweed is a soft wool/mohair/angora blend and Queensland Collection Rustic Tweed is a soft wool/alpaca/donegal blend.  There are more self-striping yarns and subtle color gradations for an understated look that your guy will love!

Beer and Knitting Classes Moved to Sunday

The final two Beer and Knitting classes have been moved to Sundays, 2pm to 5pm!  We hope this is a more covenient day for everyone.

Sunday, November 15th - Unibroue/Allagash & Scrap Yarn Scarf/Shawl/Blanket
Allagash has become the favorite brand of our Beer & Knitting Class attendees. We’ll be focusing on this awesome Maine brewery, as well as the wonderful beer brewed by Canadian brewery Unibroue. We’ll be knitting a scrap yarn project that can be a scarf, shawl or blanket depending on when you decide to stop knitting. For those of you who know how much I hate weaving in ends, these ends are left hanging and become the fringe. Pretty cool!

Sunday, December 13th - Christmas Beer & Ornaments
For those of you who missed it last year, this class is back. For those of you who attended this class last year, it will be different. Holiday beers are always delicious and many of them change annually, as will the pattern offering for the ornaments. We will kick off the holidays the right way by starting the class with the 2009 Anchor Brewing Company Christmas Ale!
